Good Friends and Good Fun

Jessica, Erin (from San Diego) and I threw April a "Mommy Shower" to get her all ready for her new life.  She got a ton of great gifts- some too embarrassing to mention- a ton of advice!  Of course, I was making metal notes the entire time.  There sure is a lot about pregnancy, delivery and after that they do not make known to everyone...they wait until you are pregnant and stuck, so there's no turning back!  Here are some pictures from the shower (mostly for you Erin)!!!

Easter

I'm behind so I'll start with our Easter.  We went to church with Lee's parents (great service) and then to my granddad's for Easter lunch.  Since there are no kids on my mom's side of the family, we don't get to do any Easter bunny/Easter egg stuff until Bradie gets here.  She's going to make all of our holidays more fun!!! 

29 Weeks

Nursery is Coming Along

Lee has been working so hard to get Bradie's room ready!  He painted the room, added a chair railing, and has put together the dresser and crib!  All I've done so far is be the designer and supervisor- LOVE that! 

 



What we've both discovered the is week is how much Lee likes new projects- but hates maintenance work, like yardwork!  Anyways, I love the room!!  Can't wait to start finding the extra special details and decorations!

My other babies

I really love my two dogs!  I've been thinking about how the dogs are going to react when Bradie is finally here.  Lola has been with Lee and I since we first got married and moved into our house, so she was basically an only child.  Then when we got Roxie (who was supposed to be a playmate for Lola) all Lola got was less attention...Roxie is really jealous!  So the two of them have been like our kids for the past three years and boy are they in for a surprise!  They are really good with children, they've been around babies and little kids a lot, so I can't wait to see how they react to and love Bradie!!

Cheerleader Baby Shower

Let me just say this...I've been very lucky this year to have an awesome set of cheerleaders and parents.  They threw me a baby shower!  So sweet and generous!  It was really great to share this with them and I hope we stay in touch as they go off to Poteet.  So here are some pictures from this super-fun shower.

13 Weeks To Go!

This Tuesday I will be 27 weeks...cannot believe it!  Since I have seriously slacked off on taking belly pics, here are some recent ones.  (if I can figure out how to put a picture)

On another note, I am seriously sad that my spring break week is over.  I really enjoyed getting things done and napping because I did a ton of both.  Now it's back to school for another 11 weeks...the hardest weeks since it's so close to summer.  The kids are crazy and I really have to practice my patience!  Counting down to Bradie is going to get me through!

Jumping on the Blog Bandwagon!

Well, I've now been convinced that I need to start a blog- seems to be what every new mom or soon-to-be mom should do!  And if April can do it, then I can do it! Just kidding, love ya Ape!

So, I am officially 26 weeks pregnant with a baby girl.  We've picked out the name- Bradie Grace. We've picked out the bedding, the furniture, registered for everything, but now what?  I feel like I should be DOING something and I have a long time to wait until she's here!
